We’re very excited to announce our new partnership with Women’s Utilities Network (WUN) – the industry’s leading platform for supporting, developing, and celebrating women.

The WUN team have built an impressive reputation in Utilities since starting out in 2018, attracting nearly 5000 members to the group. Fuelled by a passion for the industry, and the exceptional results that women are delivering within it, WUN is dedicated to empowering and inspiring female professionals.

Underrepresentation is a long-standing challenge in Energy and Utilities. Women make up only 19% of the entire workforce, with equality and diversity being active issues that must be addressed. WUN have made enormous steps towards improving access to opportunities in this space, and BFY are delighted to be supporting them on the next stages of this exciting journey.

Our female employees play a leading role in the exceptional work that we deliver for our clients. We’re hugely proud that 50% of our Executive Team are women, and the same applies for 45% of our full workforce. People are our biggest asset, and we reflect this through our commitment to personal development and progression, striving to create an inclusive culture that encourages everyone to reach their full potential.

We were eager to partner with WUN, as their mission aligns closely with our own. Working together will enable us to continue supporting our female employees, and others in the industry, by connecting them with the WUN community. We’ll be sharing our insight and experiences from the industry across WUN’s events, podcasts, and blog – starting at the WUN Careers Event in London this September.

We're excited about the possibilities this partnership will bring, celebrating the contributions of women in industry, now and in the future.

Sarah Hopkins, Director at WUN, shares our excitement in the new partnership:

“We are delighted to welcome BFY as a premium partner to the Women’s Utilities Network. Working across energy retail and with the water sector they have a great understanding of the challenges and opportunities for women in the sector. Their focus on their values and on their own approach to gender diversity and inclusion means that our two organisations have a lot in common! We look forward to making the most of our partnership and working together as WUN continues our relentless focus on creating a sector where women can grow and thrive.”
