Creating value through an ESG lens

Environmental, Social and Governance

Leverage the improvements material to your business

Our ESG and Carbon Strategies teams are actively advising large multi-nationals, large utilities, and high growth private equity businesses - from getting the basics right, to decarbonising large real estate assets.

Our offerings provide a comprehensive audit and ranking of ESG related practices, programmes and metrics, giving a view of materiality and maturity of the business’ decarbonisation journey.

As we see increasing evidence of the correlation between ESG practices and future business performance, firms should be on the front foot, looking to maximise opportunities for value creation.

Why is ESG Important?

Create a strategy your board or investors buy into

Developing an ESG roadmap is not a “one-size fits all” model. Every business’ ESG journey is different based on their sector, geography, asset footprint, future strategy, and own values.

We provide tailored benchmarks and peer comparisons, to support the development of roadmaps and actions plans, aligned to the overall business strategy. This helps to guide businesses on two fronts - by making the changes required to mitigate risk, and exploiting opportunities for value creation via new revenue streams or cost reduction.

ESG is important because:

  • You should understand how much pollution (emissions) your business creates directly and indirectly, with actions in place to mitigate this
  • If you’re looking for debt/equity funding, your funders will care about your emissions. They're likely to require an ESG assessment, and clear demonstration that you're thinking about decarbonisation
  • It’s good for business, and for your people - reducing reputational risk will help to attract and retain talent
