Matt helps lead clients through key strategic projects exploring growth opportunities, business models, competitive advantage, and mergers & acquisitions.

Matt is a commercially-minded strategic thinker who has been working in the energy sector for over 10 years across customer operations, regulation, strategy, finance and M&A.

Matt led a portfolio of projects across Residential and SME energy sales, including: mergers & acquisitions; commercial strategies; scenario planning & various projects exploring growth scenarios & opportunities across energy efficiency, solar, and electrification of heat and transport.

Matt also led the E.ON UK Board through a series of workshops focused on ‘digital challengers’, ‘adopting the challenger mindset’, and target operating models - resulting in the decision to migrate to the Kraken platform.

Having previously worked in E.ON’s regulation team, Matt has a rich understanding of navigating principle-based regulation in the UK retail energy market in addition to particular expertise in smart metering, market entry, supplier of last resort, and Smart Pay As You Go.
