Challenger energy retailer first debt sale delivered £1m in year one

Challenge

Our client wanted to explore debt sale as an alternative to using debt collection agencies, which had historically struggled to provide consistent returns.

 

We had previously worked with the management team in former roles, and they selected BFY as a partner to support them in delivering their first debt sale.

Leveraging our Debt Sale Management Framework, we supported the client to deliver its first debt sale at pace.

 

We cleansed the debtor book using credit reference agency data, and supported the client in building its future end-to-end debt sale processes.

Results

We successfully concluded the debt sale within three months, and delivered £1m in year one benefits.
